Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles ready to kick off soon

Opening Monday 28 August 2006, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles organised by The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT,Messe Frankfurt and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA). promises to be the sourcing event in China for buyers looking for home textiles, and fabric-related interior accessories and designs.

As well being the home to 677 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, the show will be packed with activities, from informative seminars to design competitions.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 28 — 30 August 2006.

Filling the seven halls of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, covering 80,500 sqm, will be exhibitors from all over the world. Businesses exhibiting are from China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, UK and USA. The number of exhibitors attending this year's show is up by 12% compared to last year.

Trade visitors will also find a Designer's Studio within Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, which is a zone dedicated to companies directly involved in the design process. This Studio is of interest to anyone searching for talented designers or looking to buy original pieces.

Trend Forum 06/07

A Heimtextil trend forum will take place at this year's trade fair, equipping visitors and exhibitors with the latest international home fashion trends and market information for 2006/07.

The 3rd China Home Textile Development Symposium

On 29 August, four important speakers from the world of home textiles will be speaking at a forum open to all exhibitors and visitors. Mr Fulvio Alvisi, President of the Italian Textile Designer Association, will be discussing the topic of 'A world around you: Home Textile Jacquard Trends Season 2008.' Ms Wu Haiyan, a renowned Chinese designer, will be presenting research on the trends for Autumn/Winter 2007/08 China home textiles.
 
The Interior Textile Development Manager for The Woolmark Company in Australia, Mr Geoffrey Robinson, will make a presentation on trends in wool bedding based on Sleeping Comfort Research. While his colleague, Mr Kazunori Ukisu from Japan will talk about the Bedding Market in Japan.

China International Home Textile Design Competition 2006

The winning designs of the China International Home Textile Design Competition, launched earlier this year, will be on display in two halls during the trade show. Entrants have been asked to interpret and express the theme of ‘sharing one dream'. Winners will be announced at an award presentation on 28 August in Hall E1.

Best Booth Design Award

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles is one of the most creative fairs in China so it is no surprise that the exhibitors' flair for design is rewarded in the annual booth design competition. Judges will be looking for those exhibitors that have managed to produce a booth that is original, eye-catching and popular with visitors.
