Intertextile confirms two new country pavilions

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2010, the leading international trade fair for the textile industry, takes place from 19--22 October at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai. Over 2,500 suppliers from 20 countries and regions have already confirmed plus a number of first time international brands and associations will be participating, among them are Chemitex from Belgium; Grasim Industries Ltd from India; the Indian Silk Export Promotion Company; the Ministry of Industry Republic of Indonesia; Somelos Tecidos SA from Portugal plus many more. The 16th edition of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel fabrics will display items that include cotton, wool, silk, man-made, functional, lace, denim and embroidery; and even cover a range of modern accessories; fibres & yarns plus design and styling products. A number of product demonstrations and company presentations will also be offered on-site. Most notably, Nylstar will launch their unique and revolutionarynylon yarn, which includes the latesttechnologyconjugatingluxury, derma-functionandbeauty. Further details on this new product will be available during the fair. Apart from exclusive launches, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet with new suppliers from around the world. This year's show includes the debut collaboration with India, where the Indian Silk Export Promotion Council has confirmed to bring several quality suppliers producing embroidery, lace and silk products. Another interesting area to note is the section supported by the Directorate for Textile, Ministry of Industry Republic of Indonesia in Hall W2. Products in this area include cotton, denim and knitted fabrics that are made in Indonesia. Several new suppliers, who can be found in the international halls W1-W3, will offer their full product range, including: Chemitex (Belgium): One of the world's largest textile trading companies offering products from cotton to a variety of other raw materials and blends. Grasim Industries Ltd (India): A flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group offering 100 per cent natural and biodegradable fibres including Birla Viscose, Birla Modal, Birla Excel and Birla Purocel. Somelos Tecidos SA (Portugal): A manufacturer of yarn dyed fabrics for top quality shirts and blouses. The collection focuses on serene elegance, comfort and wellness. Other special areas of interest include a lingerie and swimwear zone (W3), a textile designer studio Verve for Design (W2), a denim zone (W3), an accessories hall (E6), as well as domestic exhibitors divided into product end use halls (W4 and E1-E5) such as ladieswear, shirtings, suitings, sportswear and casualwear. | |
