According to Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, the textile and garment export in June was 1.18 billion USD, down 12.2% year over year. The major reasons were as following: 1. the cotton price retortion between domestic and abroad; 2. the impact of global financial crisis, the consumption market shrinkage; 3. export to South Korea went down because of Korean currency depreciation. It is anticipated that the export in late half year is still under great pressure due to global market recession.
