In the southern end of Tongzhou city, Chuangang town, enjoying a land transportation extending to all directions, is included into the commerce area with no more than 1 hour driving way from Shanghai by Sutong Bridge, which is under strenuous construction now. Occupying an area of 53.5square kilometers and having the population of 55 thousand, Chuangang town is one of the top 100 towns with regard of integrated economic strength in Jiangsu. The main products in the town include bedspread, pillowcase, curtain, embroidered quilt, various kinds of garments, printed &dyed fabric, chemical fiber yarn, pure cotton cloth, chemical fiber cloth, sponge, spray-bonded non-woven fabric etc more than 200 varieties, which are sold in middle size and big cities in China and exported to HK, Macao, Taiwan, European, African and American countries and regions.

In order to enhance the construction of textile industrial park, which has enrolled 100 enterprises, Chuangang stipulates a series of favorable policies. Textile industry in the town will realize 9 billion yuan of sales value in term of current price in 2005 and the foreign exchange income through export will exceed 100 million US$. By then the labors involving in the textile industry in Chuangang will reach 25000. Chuangang will try to build an industrial park with an area of 8 square kilometers within 5 years, thus the textile industry can be strong as well as large.
