Despite the continued Chinese yuan appreciation against the U.S. dollar or the European Union quotas, neither has had much impact on textile and apparel exports. November textile and apparel exports totaled 15.028 billion U.S. dollars, which was up slightly from October and an increase of 18.14 percent from the previous year. Textiles accounted for 5.191 billion U.S. dollars of the total and apparel 9.837 billion. January through November textile and apparel exports reached 156.584 billion U.S. dollars, which was up 25.951 billion U.S. dollars from 2006 or 19.87 percent. Apparel exports accounted for 105.432 billion U.S. dollars of the total.
