Norway Recognizes China's Full Market Economy Status

Mr. Liao Xiaoqi, China's Vice Minister of Commerce, and Mr. Tor Christian Hildan, Norway's Ambassador to China, singed Memorandum of Understanding on the Recognition of China's full market economy status in Beijing on March 26. Norway declared the recognition of China's full market economy status and to provide fair treatment for Chinese enterprises in trade.

China highly appraised Norway's recognition. Since Norway is one of the most important trading partners of China in Europe, China believed that such action will deepen bilateral trade ties and create a more fair, stable and harmonious environment, which in turn pushes deeper cooperation of enterprises between the two countries in a broader field and make benefit for the enterprises and peoples. China is willing to, jointly with Norway, keep developing economic cooperation field and realizing mutual benefit and prosperity.
