Senior CPC Official Reaffirms China's Pledge of Closer Cooperation with Africa

A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) reaffirmed here Thursday that China is ready to strengthen friendly cooperation with African countries in various fields.
Liu Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remark in a meeting with Rui Semedo, vice-chairman of the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde (PAICV).
Liu, also secretary of the CPC Beijing municipal committee, said China is ready to make joint efforts with African countries under new circumstances, to strengthen China-Africa friendly and cooperative ties in various fields.
While giving his appreciation for the sincere support and help the Chinese party and government have given to PAICV and Cape Verde government and people, Semedo said PAICV and the Cape Verde government will continue to develop the friendship and cooperation with China.
Semedo and his delegation are invited by the CPC for a visit to China from March 7 to 14.
