Official statistics made by China Customs that China's total imp. & exp. value of foreign trade in Jan. to Apr.2006 recorded U.S. dollar 514.72  billion, increasing 24.0% compared with the same period of last year. Among them, export was 274.24 billion dollars, increasing 25.8%; while import was 240.48 billion dollars, increasing 22.1%.

Official statistics shows that China's total export value of textile and apparel in Ja. to Apr. 206 reached 38.48 billion dollars, in which the gross export value of textile yarn, fabric and products was 14.45 billion dollars, increasing 20.40% compared with the same period of last year, and apparel and its accessory export was 24.03 billion dollars, increasing 24.7% compared with the same period of last year.
