Official statistics made by China Customs that China's total imp. & exp. value of foreign trade in the first quarter,2006 recorded U.S. dollar 371.3 billion, increasing 25.8% compared with the same period of last year. Among them, export was 64.99 billion dollars, increasing 26.6%; while import was 174 billion dollars, increasing 24.8%. Trade surplus was 9.49 billion dollars, which is released by China Customs.

Official statistics shows that China's total export value of textile and apparel in the first quaeter, 206 reached 27.34 billion dollars, in which the gross export value of textile was 10.13 billion dollars, increasing 20.50% compared with the same period of last year, and apparel and its accessory export was 17.21 billion dollars, increasing 23% compared with the same period of last year.
