Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2009 maintains the same 115,000 sqm of display space from the year prior China’s GDP predicted to remain steady for 2009 Exhibitors confident in fair’s organisation and business.

With ten halls reserved on 115,000 sqm of display space, the 2009 Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics event returns to the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center, running from 20 — 23 October. One of China’s premier textile trade events not only brings together exhibitors and prospective buyers in a systematic manner; it also offers suppliers an ideal and professional trade platform for conducting business directly on-site.

China market remains stable
Despite the global economic crises, China’s domestic consumption continues to rise and its Gross Domestic Production is expected to remain stable at a rate of 6.5 percent, resulting in a marketplace rich with opportunity for suppliers and manufacturers of apparel fabrics.

Joining Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is an ideal business platform to enter this market. In fact, each autumn, thousands of textile suppliers flock to the well-established fair to showcase their latest designs and fabrics, including confirmed group exhibitors Invista, Lenzing, Dow and Cotton USA, who will demonstrate the various functions of their materials throughout the four-day event.

In addition to attracting key suppliers from China and abroad, the fair will bring in special overseas pavilions including Germany — featuring a series of hi-tech fabrics; Japan — showcasing high quality fabrics; Italy — displaying sophisticated designs; Korea — presenting fancy ladieswear at competitive prices and Taiwan — exhibiting functional fabrics.

With its broadly diversified and extended product range, suppliers are confident that Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is the prime business framework for textile trade in China. “This fair is well-organised and the one that we value the most in China as we are always able to meet with many of our key customers," assured Mr Ronald Wong, Manager Marketing Communications — Asia for Avery Dennison.

Last year, more than 49,000 visitors from 85 countries and regions attended the show, including key buyers from apparel fabrics-related importers, wholesalers, manufacturers and designers.

The show is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT-Tex and the China Textile Information Centre.
