China cuts textile exports inspection fee

China will cut the fee for inspecting exports textile and garment products by 30% in 2009, Wang Yong, director of the national quality control and quarantine authority last Sunday.

Inspection of food and agricultural produces will still be free. Wang also vowed to tighten sifting through imported food after Australian-made Optima dog food took its toll on several Shanghai pets recently.
