Jiangsu Sees Rapid Growth on Trade in Services

According to the BOP (Balance of Payment) statistics from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the total import and export value of Jiangsu Province on trade in services amounted to US$1.41 billion in Jan.-Feb., up by 59.9% year on year, out of which the export hit US$450 million, up by 46.3%; and the import hit US$960 million, up by 67.2%. The export of trade in services mainly focused on the sectors of commercial services, transportation and consultancy, with the export of commercial services hitting US$ 200 million, or 44.5%; and the export of transportation, US$150 million, accounting for 32.4%; and the consulting export, US$60 million, accounting for 13.7%.
The import of trade in services mainly focused on the sectors of commercial services, the royalties and franchise fee for patent rights, consulting services and transport, among which the export of commercial services hit US$280 million, accounting for 28.9%; the export of royalties and franchise fee hit US$190 million, accounting for 19.7%; the export of consulting services hit US$180 million, accounting for 18.9%; and the transport export hit US$170 million, accounting for 17.6%.
