About CITME 2006
The 10th International Textile Machinery Exhibition will be held at China International Exhibition Center, Beijing on Oct.17-21, 2006.

The China International Textile Machinery Exhibition (CITME), has its maiden exhibition held in 1988, is now becoming the most influential, the most established as well as the largest international textile machinery exhibition in China. CITME is regarded by the industry as a vital way to understand and to enter the China textiles market, it is also an important platform for cooperation and exchange in this field. With its authoritative background and professional operation, CITME has become the first ever international textile machinery exhibition in China endorsed by UFI (Union of International Fairs) in 2002.
The fine days of October 12-16, 2004 witnessed the opening of 9th China International Textile Machinery Exhibition (CITME 2004) at China International Exhibition Center, Beijing (CIEC). Benefited from the booming of China's economy, especially the fast growth of textile industry, the exhibition enjoyed an increase in both exhibiting space and number of trade visitors. Over the 62,000 square meters exhibition space, 1,100 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions displayed their latest products, covering main categories of textile machineries. The largest foreign contingent of exhibitors at CITME 2004 came from Germany followed by Italy, Japan, and Switzerland.
The statistics of exhibitors' poll showed most of foreign exhibitors was highly satisfied with the organization of this event, the quality visitors and the business environment. Most of the total of 35,585 visitors, of which 35% decision-makers, came from Chinese manufacturers of textiles or garments, manufacturers of textile machinery, trading companies and R&D institutes. About 10% of the visitors came from Hong Kong, Korea, China Taiwan, Pakistan, India, Japan and Thailand, indicating the uprising influence of CITME in this area.
