- Intertextile Beijing: Special pavilions help visitors quickly locate exhibitors
- A host of new products planned for 2007
- An ideal trade venue in northern China for the entire textile industry
This month, more than 892 exhibitors from 20 countries will gather for Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics 2007, one of the largest apparel textile trade events in northern China.
Intertextile Beijing presents natural and manmade apparel fabrics from across the textile spectrum, from high-end to mass market, for menswear, womenswear, children's clothes, lingerie and swimwear.
The show - larger than ever and expanded to two venues for the first time this year - will showcase a vast array of fabrics from China and abroad. To help navigate such an impressive collection, the show is organised into a series of Chinese and international pavilions. The international country and region pavilions, including Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan and Thailand, draw together exhibitors and trade organisations from a geographic location to help facilitate trade.
The Chinese mainland pavilions include: the Zhejiang Xiaoshan group, displaying manmade fabrics; the Zhejaing Shaoxing group with cotton, linen and embroidery; the Jiangsu Shengze group, with an oriental silk market; and the China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textile Association group, which will feature linen, denim and hemp.
At the show this year
* Three international acetate fibre producers are launching a new campaign through the Global Acetate Manufacturers' Association in Belgium entitled "Feel Acetate; Feel Natural", designed to raise awareness in China about acetate filament fibres. The "Feel Acetate; Feel Natural" exhibit will display fabric samples to show the softness, breathability and lustre of acetate fibre fabrics. The campaign will present the results of the campaign's Comfort Study - a fact sheet on the comfort and environmental qualities of acetate textiles.
* German exhibitor Kelheim Fibres, one of the world's leading producers of viscose and acrylic speciality fibres, will feature the viscose speciality Viloft fibre, which is gaining interest in China. Viloft is a viscose speciality fibre with a flat cross-section that offers benefits such as thermal performance, improved moisture management, breathability and softness.
"We see a lot of potential for our fibre business in China," said Matthew North, Commercial Director at Kelheim Fibers GmbH. "The Chinese market is becoming more sophisticated and there is a strong demand for differentiated fibres. We are extremely pleased with the way our sales are developing in China."
* Fellow German exhibitors Hecking Deotexis, known for an impressive range of casual cottons and premium denims, will showcase the new spring/summer collection for 2008 as well as functional finishes such as Micro Cotton and Nano Finish from their casual cotton range. The company will also feature their denim range - from rugged to elegant and heavy weight to delicate weight for shirting, all in line with the latest styles and trends. Hecking Deotexis will also display new colours from their creative team.
The show runs concurrent to Yarn Expo Spring 2007, which will also be held at the China World Trade Centre. Intertextile Beijing, which last year attracted 17,337 visitors, is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and China Textile Information Centre.
