CHIC 2009, which is the 17th session, will be held in the new China International Exhibition Center on March 26-29, 2009.
In the 17 years since its establishment, CHIC, the most important fashion exhibition in Asia, has grown into a prestigious fashion event that serves as a platform of brand exhibition and trade with unmatched business values and industrial and social infuences.

With brand new innovations of organizational systems and presentation patterns, it will reinforce brand communications, strengthen specialized business services, increase functional activities, introduce the idea of cross-functional convergence, and optimize visual effects.
By applying the concepts of "lifestyle" and "fashion trend" and with themes of "Do Good", "Rhythm and Melody" and "Butterfy Dance", CHIC 2009 will design the hall plan byproducts and styles. There will be eight zones in the 100,000-square-meter exhibition hall, which are: Men's Business Attire/Business Attire, Casual / Sporty/ Jeans/ Street Wear, Leather, Infant and Children's Wear/ Maternity Wear, Women 's We a r / Cashmere / Bridal's Wear/ Formal Wear/ Body and Intimate Wear, Women's Premium Business Attire/ Ladies' Wear / Young Fashion, Design Lounge, Overseas Exhibitors. Facing a strategic opportunity for the Chinese fashion industry, CHIC sticks to the guideline of "premium, professional, and resource-oriented" services to innovate, transform and upgrade. The show is an exclusive event for this upstream segment of the textile industry and one of the few shows of its kind in Asia.
Despite challenges facing the global textile industry, fiber and yarn are still very much in demand in China. This demand is buoyed by the continued, albeit more modest, rise in textile exports, as well as growing domestic demand particularly for high quality specialty yarns from abroad.
Yarn Expo Spring, which attracted 3,500 visitors from 41 countries in 2008, has been designed to help international suppliers tap this potential. Visitors to past shows have attended from across China as well as Europe, Asia, North and South America and even Africa and include manufacturers of both knitted and woven fabrics, knitwear, designers and import/export companies.
"This show is significant in that it offers fiber and yarn producers a very specific and efficient venue to find trade buyers in China," said Ms Wendy Wen, Director of Trade Fairs for Messed Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. "Exhibitors know that any visitor at this show will be a serious potential customer." Beijing is the spring fashion destination in ChinaYarn Expo also benefits from two other important trade events taking place.
