Yarn Expo Spring 2008, one of China’s premier yarn and fibre sourcing events, will feature nearly 85% more exhibition space when it takes place from March 27-29, 2008.
The show will cover 5,500 square metres of exhibition space at the China World Trade Centre in Beijing.
As the largest textile and apparel exporter in the world, China relies on yarn and fibre imports to meet its enormous demand. While apparel exports increased 19% in 2006 over 2005, China imported $4.5 billion worth of yarn, a 7% increase. China’s textile manufacturers continue to seek new places to source fibres and yarns, particularly middle- to-high-end products.
In 2007, the show featured more than 100 exhibitors and attracted nearly 5,000 visitors from 47 countries and regions, including fabric-weaving mills, importers and wholesalers of yarn and fibres.
Yarn Expo Spring will run alongside Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics – one of the leading apparel textile trade events in northern China, which attracts textile makers from around the world. Intertextile Beijing, at the China International Exhibition Centre, will feature an estimated 1,100 exhibitors including mostly textile manufacturers. November 22, 2007
